How to Build an AlumierMD Routine (AM/PM, by Skin Type)
A step-by-step AlumierMD routine: the four core steps, morning and evening order, adjustments for dry, oily, sensitive and mature skin, and what to use weekly.

AlumierMD has a product for almost everything, which makes it hard to know where to begin. A complete routine needs four steps. This guide gives you those steps, the order for morning and night, and the swaps that fit your skin type.
What is the basic AlumierMD routine?
Morning: cleanse, apply EverActive C&E + Peptide, moisturize, then finish with a mineral sunscreen. Evening: cleanse, apply a Retinol Resurfacing Serum, then moisturize. Choose the cleanser, moisturizer and sunscreen by skin type: SensiCalm, HydraCalm and Clear Shield for sensitive skin; Purifying Gel Cleanser, HydraLight and Clear Shield for oily skin; Gentle Foaming Cleanser, HydraDew or HydraRich and Sheer Hydration for dry skin.
What are the core steps?
Step 1, cleanse. SensiCalm ($52) is creamy and soap-free for sensitive or dry skin. Purifying Gel Cleanser ($52) is a foaming gel for normal to oily skin. Gentle Foaming Cleanser ($45) is a sulfate-free foam with ceramide NP for all skin types. Massage for about 60 seconds, then rinse.
Step 2, treat. In the morning that means an antioxidant: EverActive C&E + Peptide ($95), 3 to 4 drops after cleansing. At night it means vitamin A: a Retinol Resurfacing Serum in 0.25%, 0.5% or 1.0%.
Step 3, moisturize. HydraLight for oily and combination skin, HydraDew for normal to dry skin, HydraRich for dry skin, HydraCalm for sensitive skin and HydraClarité for oily, blemish-prone skin. Use 1 to 2 pumps, morning and evening.
Step 4, protect (morning). Sheer Hydration SPF 40 Versatile Tint or Sheer Hydration SPF 40 Untinted for normal to dry skin, Clear Shield SPF 42 for oily or sensitive skin. Use about a nickel-sized amount for the face and neck, and reapply every two hours in direct sun.
Those four steps are a complete routine. Everything below is an adjustment or an addition.
What does an AlumierMD morning routine look like?
1. Cleanser.
2. Bright & Clear Solution on a cotton pad, if you use an exfoliating toner. Do not rinse.
3. AluminEye around the eyes. AlumierMD directs you to apply it after cleansing and before face serums.
4. EverActive C&E + Peptide. If you prefer a primer texture, use Vitamin Rich Smoother after your other treatment products instead.
5. A targeted serum if you need one: Intellibright Complex for dark spots, Calm-R for redness-prone skin, Alumience A.G.E. for antioxidant support or Ultimate Boost Serum for hydration.
6. Moisturizer.
7. Mineral sunscreen. Sheer Hydration is moisturizing enough that normal skin can sometimes skip step 6.
What does an AlumierMD evening routine look like?
1. Cleanser.
2. Eye care: Retinol Eye Gel (start two to three nights a week) or AluminEye.
3. Ultimate Boost Serum as a buffer, if you want one. AlumierMD suggests applying it before retinol for comfort.
4. Retinol Resurfacing Serum, 1 to 2 pumps on the face and neck, avoiding the eye area. Start with two nights a week and build up.
5. Moisturizer.
On nights without retinol, this is where an exfoliating serum goes: AHA Renewal Serum with 8% lactic acid, two to three evenings a week to start. Keep acids and retinol on separate nights.
How does the routine change by skin type?
| Skin type | Cleanser | Serums | Moisturizer | Sunscreen |
|---|---|---|---|---|

| Oily, blemish-prone | Purifying Gel Cleanser | Bright & Clear Solution, retinol (PM) | HydraClarité | Clear Shield SPF 42 |
| Sensitive, redness-prone | SensiCalm | Calm-R (AM and PM) | HydraCalm | Clear Shield SPF 42 |
| Uneven tone, dark spots | By skin type | EverActive C&E + Peptide (AM), Intellibright Complex, retinol (PM) | By skin type | Sheer Hydration or Clear Shield |
| Mature, dry | Gentle Foaming Cleanser or SensiCalm | EverActive C&E + Peptide, Alumience A.G.E., Ultimate Boost Serum, retinol (PM) | HydraRich | Sheer Hydration SPF 40 |
Normal to dry skin
Keep the cleanser gentle and add water-binding layers. Ultimate Boost Serum under HydraDew handles most dryness; switch to HydraRich, with squalane and shea butter, when skin needs more. Aqua Infusion Mask adds hydration without oil whenever skin feels dehydrated.
Oily and blemish-prone skin
Do not skip moisturizer. HydraLight is a fluid, non-comedogenic lotion that leaves a matte finish, and HydraClarité is the oil-free option made for blemish-prone skin. Bright & Clear Solution gives daily light exfoliation with lactic and salicylic acid. Use Refining Clay Mask for 15 to 20 minutes when pores look congested, on the whole face or just the T-zone. Finish with Clear Shield SPF 42, or Moisture Matte SPF 40 Amber if you want tint for a medium to tan skin tone.
Sensitive and redness-prone skin
Start with three products and no strong actives: SensiCalm, Calm-R twice a day and HydraCalm. Add Clear Shield SPF 42 in the morning. The Calming Collection ($307) packs all four. Once skin is settled, introduce Retinol Resurfacing Serum 0.25% two nights a week if you want a retinol.
Uneven tone and dark spots
Layer three approaches: EverActive C&E + Peptide in the morning, Intellibright Complex on the whole face after cleansing, and a retinol at night. Sunscreen every day is what makes the rest worthwhile. The Brightening Collections ($375) bundle a cleanser, Intellibright Complex, Retinol Resurfacing Serum 0.5%, HydraCalm and a sunscreen for dry or sensitive and normal or oily skin.
Mature skin
Use the full ladder: vitamin C and Alumience A.G.E. in the morning, Ultimate Boost Serum morning and night, retinol at night and HydraRich to finish. Add Neck & Décolleté Firming Cream for the neck and chest, morning and evening. The Rejuvenating Collections ($439) cover this routine in six products, in Normal/Dry and Normal/Oily versions.
Which AlumierMD products are weekly, not daily?
MicroDerm Polish: a physical polish with round jojoba and silica beads, one to two times a week. Use light pressure.
Enzymatic Peel: a lactic acid and fruit enzyme peel. Apply in the evening, leave on for 3 to 5 minutes, then rinse.
Aqua Infusion Mask, Refining Clay Mask and HydraRescue BioCellulose Face Mask: each stays on for 15 to 20 minutes.
Eye Rescue Pads: hydrogel patches for 15 to 20 minutes before an event, followed by eye cream.
Do not stack exfoliants. One exfoliating product on any given night is enough, and none on a retinol night.
What are the rules for starting an AlumierMD routine?
Add one active at a time. Start with the core four steps. Add vitamin C first, then retinol two weeks later, so you can tell what your skin is responding to.
Start retinol low and slow. Two nights a week, at the lowest strength that makes sense for you. Our guide to the 0.25%, 0.5% and 1.0% strengths covers when to move up.
Activate EverActive C&E only when you are ready to use it. Press the cap, shake for 60 seconds, fit the dropper, then use it within 30 days.
Sunscreen is not optional. Retinol and exfoliating acids both make skin more sensitive to the sun.
Around professional treatments, follow your provider. AlumierMD makes Recovery Balm for skin after peels, microneedling or laser: it can be applied up to three times a day for a maximum of five days after a peel. Pause retinol and acids until you are told to restart.
Retinol and the Enzymatic Peel are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless your healthcare provider says otherwise.
Where should you buy AlumierMD?
AlumierMD is a professional skincare brand, sold through skincare professionals and authorized retailers. Its formulas lean on actives that depend on freshness and correct storage, such as L-ascorbic acid, retinol and mineral sunscreen filters, so stock from an unauthorized seller may be old, badly stored or not genuine.
SkinCrew is an Authorized AlumierMD US Retailer. Every product is sourced direct through official AlumierMD channels and backed by our 45-Day Satisfaction Guarantee, with free US shipping on orders of $99 or more. What order do I apply AlumierMD products?
Cleanser, toner if you use one, eye cream, serums, moisturizer, then sunscreen in the morning. At night, apply the retinol serum after cleansing and before moisturizer.
Do I use EverActive C&E in the morning or at night?
In the morning. Apply 3 to 4 drops after cleansing, then follow with moisturizer and sunscreen.
Can I use AlumierMD retinol and vitamin C together?
Yes, at different times of day: EverActive C&E + Peptide in the morning and a Retinol Resurfacing Serum at night.
Can I use AHA Renewal Serum with retinol?
Use them on different nights. AHA Renewal Serum is an evening exfoliant with 8% lactic acid, and it should not be layered with retinol.
Which AlumierMD moisturizer should I use?
HydraLight for oily and combination skin, HydraDew for normal to dry skin, HydraRich for dry skin, HydraCalm for sensitive skin and HydraClarité for oily, blemish-prone skin.
HydraDew vs HydraRich: which is better for dry skin?
HydraDew ($86) suits normal to dry skin that wants more than a light lotion. HydraRich ($103) is richer, with squalane, shea butter and peptides, and is the better choice for dry, dehydrated skin.
Which AlumierMD cleanser is best for sensitive skin?
SensiCalm, a creamy, soap-free cleanser with ceramides and niacinamide. Gentle Foaming Cleanser is the option if you prefer a foam.
Where does Ultimate Boost Serum go in the routine?
After cleansing and before moisturizer, morning or night. At night AlumierMD suggests applying it before the retinol serum as a buffer.
How many AlumierMD products do I need?
Four cover the essentials: a cleanser, one treatment serum, a moisturizer and a mineral sunscreen. Add a retinol at night when you are ready.
Is there an AlumierMD routine in one box?
Yes. The Calming Collection ($307), Brightening Collections ($375) and Rejuvenating Collections ($439) bundle full-size products into a routine.
